About Jen Magill

Jen Magill is a Consultant Paediatric ENT (Ear, Nose and Throat) Surgeon. She is based privately at the world-renowned Portland Hospital in London. She also works as an NHS consultant at Barts and The Royal London Hospital, where she is clinical lead for Paediatric ENT. As such, she is part of a select group who specialise only in children.

Jen’s specialist ENT training was undertaken at prestigious London units including The Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and University College Hospital where she learnt from some of the country’s leading surgeons.

After completing surgical training, she completed a fellowship in Paediatric ENT at the prestigious Great Ormond Street Hospital. This confirmed her commitment to paediatric ENT and she developed a real passion for head and neck and airway surgery in children. Jen has also spent time undertaking an observership at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital (USA) which is one of the leading paediatric units in the world. She has a higher degree (MD) from Imperial College London which was focused on surgical simulation and medical education.

Jen is not just a doctor: she’s a mum as well. As a mother of two young children, she understands how worrying it can be when a child is unwell. Whether it’s persistent ear infections, noisy breathing or tonsillitis which keeps coming back; she’s here to help you find answers and guide you on treatment options with clarity and compassion.
